Latvijas Banka has approved the new base prospectus for the bond programme of SIA "Rīgas ūdens", enabling the company to continue the bond issuance programme launched in 2025 and issue European Green Bonds (EuGB) for the remaining aggregate amount of up to EUR 40 million.
SIA "Rīgas ūdens" European Green Bond Allocation Report, together with the independent post-issuance review conducted by "Sustainable Fitch", confirms that the EUR 20 million raised through the Company’s European Green Bond (EuGB) issuance on 6 May 2025, is being used to finance EU Taxonomy-aligned capital expenditure projects.
At the meeting of the Supervisory Board of SIA “Rīgas ūdens” held on 21 April, a decision was taken to extend the term of office of Management Board Member Normunds Zvaunis for a further five years, until 14 May 2031.
On April 10, 2026, SIA “Rīgas ūdens” held a webinar to present its audited financial results of 2025 and other strategic developments.
SIA “Rīgas ūdens” has published its audited 2025 annual report – Sustainability Report and Financial Statements. The Company’s operating revenue increased by 5.2% in 2025, reaching EUR 80.32 million, while the EBITDA margin rose to 38.6%. The total investment volume reached EUR 48.5 million in 2025 – the highest level in the past five years. The year was closed with a profit of EUR 0.59 million, and the Company’s total assets increased to EUR 752.1 million.
On 25 March 2026, the Riga City Council decided to retain the direct participation of the Riga City Municipality in SIA “Rīgas ūdens”. The decision was adopted following an evaluation of the municipality’s participation, taking into account the strategic importance of water utility services for the city’s infrastructure and development.
SIA “Rīgas ūdens” informs that unaudited financial data for the 2025 reporting period, which ended on 31 December, have been published. The full Audited Annual and Sustainability Report 2025 will be published on 31 March 2026.
Continuing preparations for the next phase of its investment programme, SIA Rīgas ūdens has signed an agreement with the Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) providing access to a loan facility of up to EUR 50 million and has initiated the extension of its bond programme.
SIA “Rīgas ūdens” has published its unaudited condensed interim financial statements for the nine-month period ending 30 September 2025, demonstrating stable operational performance, increased revenues, and continued investments in the modernisation of the city’s water and wastewater infrastructure.
