Ltd. “Rīgas ūdens” has published its unaudited financial results for the first half of 2025, demonstrating strong progress towards sustainable infrastructure development by making investments aimed at mitigating future cost increases and ensuring compliance with EU directives focused on environmental protection and climate objectives.
Ltd. “Rīgas ūdens” has submitted a draft tariff for water supply and wastewater services to the Public Utilities Commission (PUC). The proposal foresees an increase of EUR 0.33/m³ (excluding VAT) from 1 December 2025.
In 2025, SIA “Rīgas ūdens” financial statements will be published on the following dates:
August 29, 2025: Unaudited interim condensed financial statements for the 6-month period of 2025;
November 28, 2025: Unaudited interim condensed financial statements for the 9-month period of 2025.
SIA “Rīgas ūdens” has signed a contract for the expansion of the anaerobic digester facility at the Daugavgrīva Wastewater Treatment Plant. This is one of the largest and most technically complex water management projects in Latvia, which will significantly increase Riga’s sewage sludge treatment capacity and support “Rīgas ūdens” in its strategic progress towards energy neutrality.
On July 1, 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a regulation draft by the Ministry of Smart Administration and Regional Development regarding the investment of European Union funds to promote the efficiency of water management services, ensuring the effectiveness of wastewater treatment infrastructure operations and reducing anthropogenic pollution in the Riga agglomeration.
An international credit rating agency "Moody's Rating" on June 27, 2025 has published an updated credit analysis of "Rīgas ūdens", maintaining the company’s credit rating of A3 set in June 2024 with a stable outlook.
